When did your extremely fussy/slightly colicky baby have that drastic turn around?
I know they say 3 months is the magic mark, but I was just wondering what is REALLY the norm.

We had an extremely rough time from 4 weeks to 13 weeks - now at week 14, he hasn't been as fussy and his tummy doesn't hurt him as much - good luck!

Re: When did your extremely fussy/slightly colicky baby have that drastic turn around?
Sorry to say with Kaitlyn - she had BAD reflux and colic - and it lasted for 5-6 months - but then it completely stopped and she was a dream afterwards. I think most colic ends around 3 months.

Around 3 months it started improving. It also coinciding with when he started getting cereal. He started sleeping randomy through the night around then, but wasn't doing it consistently until 5 months.

It was between 3.5 months and 4 months that the crying stopped and he started sleeping through the night.

DD was horribly colicky until 11 weeks-- then suddenly she became MUCH better, although still a tough infant until she started crawling.

Re: When did your extremely fussy/slightly colicky baby have that drastic turn around?
My son was a MISERY until he was able to sit up, so about 5 months. At 10 months he really started to become the gorgous toddler that he is now. He is a true delight! I adore him!

with DD#1 every 3 months (3, 6, 9 and 12) there was a shift. unfortunately, i didn't feel human until 9 months
god took pity on me with DD#2, to date she's the total opposite of DD#1

She made major strides at 2 months, and gets better still every day-- she is 3 months now. She still gets cranky, but the inconsolable crying has pretty much ended. knock wood!

Re: When did your extremely fussy/slightly colicky baby have that drastic turn around?
6 months...
I believe DS had gas/digestion issues early on that were exasperated by the addition of mamouth growth spurts.
He stopped spurting at roughly 6-7 mo and has been happy ever since
