When did your infant take less naps?
At what age did your DC stop the pattern of eat/sleep/eat/sleep? Up until now (7 weeks) Ella has napped at 8:00 am and again at 10:30 am (she nurses at 5:00, 7:00, and 10:00). She is now becoming very cranky at 8, but refusing to nap. I have tried putting her in the swing for an hour or holding and rocking her and she just hangs out awake and then cries. Do they start to "drop" naps and if so when do they grow out of the crankiness? I enjoyed showering at 8 and going back to bed for a nap! Thanks!!
PS I'm not trying to hold her to a rigid "schedule," just curious.

Re: When did your infant take less naps?
I noticed a "pattern" of more sleep and awake periods with both girls starting around 3-4 months old-they started taking 3-4 naps a day around that time, then by 5-6 months they were down to 2 naps a day. My youngest dropped her 2nd nap at 8 months old. I get 1 hour a day out of my oldest and 1 two hour nap out of my youngest-sometimes she needs a 1/2 hour snooze in the afternoon but that's rare..
my youngest is almost 11 months.

Re: When did your infant take less naps?
mine didn't have a nap pattern till about 9 months. before she just cat napped for 30 min then up for about 1-2 hours then back down again. now she takes one nap in the am about 2-3 hours after she wakes up and then a afternoon nap at about 4 or 5. She's almost 11 months,

I don't exactly remember, I think he slowly became awake more and more. I want to say he may have started napping less around 6 weeks, but I could be wrong!
