When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I'm 26 weeks with twins and took my rings off the other day and now they feel too tight to put back on but I don't feel overly swollen (yet) !

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I'm 17 weeks. I haven't been able to wear them comfortably together for weeks. At first I put my engagement ring on my other hand but now I'm just wearing my band alone , or with a pretty cocktail ring. I have to wear something or a get these judgmental glares because I literally look like I am 12.

I could get my rings on, but they wouldn't come off around 28/29 weeks.

I never had an issue with my ring fitting with either pregnancy.

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I took mine off sometime in the beginning of the 3rd trimester. They were just getting a little snug. I probably could have left them on longer, but I felt afraid that I'd end up having to get them CUT off someday if I wasnt careful Chat Icon I miss wearing them so much and sometimes feel afraid they'll never fit again

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I am almost 36 weeks and my rings just started to get tight. I had to stop wearing my watch this week and my feet and ankles look like balloons!

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I believe I was at my appointment at 24 or 26 weeks when I asked my OB about it and he said to take them off now because too many people end up needing them cut off (they were already getting snug, so I knew it was coming).

I'm pleased to report that I was able to put them back on about 3 weeks after DD was born!

I don't wear my ering anymore though because I wash my hands SO often that I was starting to get a rash under where the two rings were stacked because it was never getting dry under there. So I just wear my wedding band for now. Once DD is on a longer schedule and I'm not washing my hands every 30 minutes or so, I'll put it back on too. Chat Icon

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I'll be 39 weeks on Saturday- and I have days where I could wear it , and days that I can't (usually the warmer days)

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I've had significant swelling issues for about 3 weeks now (am 27w 4d), and took the rings off at around 25 weeks.

While the bloating now seems confined to my legs/ankles/feet, I still can't get my rings even close to fitting. Chat Icon Went out and bought a $25 band.....just so I had something on.

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I was in Florida a couple of days ago and had to take my rings off - i'm only 14 weeks but it was 86 degrees and humid! So a lot has to do with outside influences and not just internal bloating. I'm due in august but fully expecting to have to buy a really large cocktail ring in April or so.

Mine got tight right at the end....around 38 weeks. I was able to wear them again around 3 or 4 weeks postpartum.

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

31 weeks and lately they have been getting pretty snug. Some days my fingers swell up around them so fast and other days I have no prob with them. Im getting nervous to wear them now though bc my wedding band is an eternity ring and I was told it would get completely mangled if it got cut off.

Same here! No problems at 32 weeks! I think that's partly because it's wintertime. If it was the summer, they'd probably be off by now!

Re: When did your wedding ring get too tight to wear?

I'm 21 weeks and they're just starting to get snug, and making a bad indentation when I take them off. I think I'm going to buy a fake set soon. My fingers, hands, and wrists are starting to swell now. I don't even think I can wear my Pandora bracelet too much longer, and I had little chicken wrists to begin with so had to get the smallest size in inches, and now it's like big mistake!

I'm 34 weeks and just started having trouble with my rings at night. They're fine during the day but feel too tight at night.
