When do doctors schedule an induction??
My doctor told me that they are going to induce me in 10 weeks, when do they schedule this usually??

I was induced @ 42 weeks ,they do it at different times for different reasons !! With DD#3 they asked me if I wanted to do it 2 days before my due date ,but I opted to wait ,and I had her 2 days after my due date

I knew all along I was going to be induced at 39 weeks due to my gestational diabetes. After my 35 week appointment is when my OBs office actually scheduled my induction date with the hospital.

My induction was scheduled at my 39 week appointment. DD was measuring big, I had GD, and I had made no progress at all. I was induced two days before my due date.

My induction was scheduled when I went past my due date and they saw I had low fluid levels. I went in for a check up and they checked the fluids and did a stress test. They told me I would be going in to the hospital that night to begin the induction.

this is what i was told - that we don't talk dates until maybe week 36. i was so hoping to have a date by now!
i'm going to see MY doctor next week though - so i'm hoping to be able to ask HER about a date...as if we have to 'pick' a date - we want the one when SHE is on call!

Im being induced at 38 1/2 weeks next week just like DD#1 She was really big and they fear that for this DD. I am already 2cm and 80% effaced.

Some do it at 41 weeks and some wait until 42 weeks (usually no later).

my doctor is gonna induce me at 38-39 weeks she said b/c of my hypertension and GD.

Depends on the reasons, but my practice for example can not schedule anything more than 4 weeks in advance.
If you want an elective induction the earliest you can have it is at 39 weeks and the earliest you can schedule that is 4 weeks prior to 39 week date you want

I was induced with DD at 39 weeks due to my need for blood thinners (Lovenox) during pregnancy, the appointment was not set until days before to ensure all was well with the baby's lungs and all. If I wanted anything sooner than 39 weeks it would have required an amnio to ensure the baby's lung function, I decided just to wait till the 39th week despite my excitement. My induction turned into a c-section so this time I'm just scheduling a section which I think can be scheduled out a little further in advance.

I was induced at 38 weeks due to fluid levels and clotting issues. It was scheduled at 36weeks.
