When do stretch marks show up? Am I out of the woods?
I am 33w, and so far I happily have no stretch marks. Are they likely to show up toward the end? I try to remember to put lotion on, but I'm bad about it. For some reason, that's DH's biggest concern - that I don't get stretch marks!

Um at 36/37 weeks I looked down and found the first stretch marks. I thought I might be out of the woods too, but nope! Now at 38+ weeks, they are more noticeable and probably bigger. Blah.

Im almost 37 weeks and knock on wood... no stretch marks on my belly... just some ugly ones near the top of my butt  Figures, the part that DH loves on me

No, you're not out of the woods yet but you might be one of those lucky ladies that dont get any. I started getting strech marks around 38wks and I really thought I was out of the woods. They werent that bad though but I def. got them.

Sorry to say this, but my ob/gyn said a lot of people get stretch marks AFTER they give birth. They don't show up until the baby is born and you start shrinking in size again. It is an odd thing and you'll just never know. Stretch Marks are my DH's biggest concern too... I guess he gets it from his mother- I have bad stretch marks behind the backs of my knees (had them since puberty, I practically feel like I have had them my entire life) and MIL still likes to mention it every single time she see us. I was walking in a dress in front of her and she was walking with DH behind me and said so loudly on the public street to DH "what is that behind her knees? are those stretch marks?"  I'm so petrified of any new markings now!!

Mine showed up after i gave birth. There were very few, and they're barely visible at this point (6m pp).

I had 14 little stretch "dots" for lack of a better word (yes, I counted them)... I got most around 36-38 weeks. A few came after she was born (which I thought was strange. They all had completely faded to skin color or just a touch different than skin color by 6 m PP.

they could be sneaky and not appear at ALLLL until AFTER you give birth! i swear i never noticed anything until months later i was like !? 
maybe cause i was so large i couldn't see every angle of my body anymore

I'm 32 weeks and already have them on my hips and thighs. They are so ugly and depressing. Nothing on my belly yet, but they have 8 weeks to show up. I'm so upset over it - I would prefer them on my belly...I feel like with them on my hips and thighs I'll never be able to wear a bathing suit again. I hear it is genetic - I can thank my mother!!!!

I didnt get any with #1. With #2 I got them at 38 weeks, just a few (4) to the bottom left of my belly button. I am now pregnant with #3 and hoping they don't come back!!
I use cocoa butter 2x a day; everyday!!!

I used cocoa butter withh DD and I had plenty of stretch marks everywhere.
My friend used bio oil when she was pregnant and didn't get any stretch marks.
She said she got it at CVS.

I did not get any so you never know.
I was convinced I would get bad ones since I have strech marks on my body from weight loss over the years but never got any on my stomach from weight loss or the pregnancy.

I didnt get any with DS until 38 weeks and I got them BAD!...2 years later still have them and I can only imagine how much worse after this baby!

With my first. I didn't get one. With this last pregnancy I noticed red ones towards the end they looked like they were going to be pretty bad. After I delivered they lightened so much they are hardly noticeable.

this happened to me. i didnt get very big while pg and thought i was free of stretch marks. when i came home from the hospital is when i noticed some on my sides and the top of my inner thigh

I agree. Don't worry. You may not get any. I don't have any stretch marks from pregnancy at all. They say it's genetics that plays a role. My mom never had them and I assume that's why I didn't get any either.
