When do you think you'll let the kids go out and play?
i'm actually thinking about letting him go out. the sun is shinning. my boyfriend was just out shoveling for a half hour and came in sweating after being bundled up.

I just took my 2.5 year old out. It's cold but not too brutal. Wind seems to have settled. I only had him out for about 10-15 minutes and he had high socks, sweatpants, long sleeve onesie, sweatshirt hoodie, wool hat, snow bib pants and winter coat with hood and mittens. He didn't want to come back inside.

Mh kids have been outside for quite a while having a great fun time with neighborhood kids..its nice to get them outside for su fresh air & exercise ..hot cocoa when they come in (which Im sure will be any minute now).

My DD apparantly takes after me- we opened the front door to look outside, she took one look out there and felt the cold air and said- "I'll stay inside. It's too cold!"
She is TOTALLY my daughter!

We just came in from playing outside. We were only out for about 20 min and dd loved it! It was cold but it didn't seem too bad.

It's actually beautiful out! It's the wind that's brutal. DS was out for about 30-40 minutes loving getting stuck in the mountains. But he was layered and wearing snow pants with a hat and hood. As long as we avoided windy spots, we were fine.

I'm all bundled up and waiting for DS to wake up from nap so we can go out in the backyard. I only want to go out for a few min bc DS was so excited to see all the snow

the main thing is to look out for snow getting trapped between socks and snow pants or between gloves and coat. As long as they are bundled well check those spots regularly and they will be fine

we just went outside for like 45 minutes! we made snow angels and DS helped me brush off the cars. its actually nice out.

My kids were out with my husband for about an hour. I ran out in my pajamas and robe to take some pics and for some reason it didn't feel that bad.

My DD was out for about 2 hours after the wind died down. My DS went out for 1/2 hr and didn't want to go again. He's not fond of the cold.

We were out at 8:30. We usually only last about 20 min anyway before someone is crying and cold.
We went out again at 3 and it seemed more tolerable outside.

Omg, this was so me as a kid ! I was just telling my Dh that I never wanted to play in the snow when I was little because of the cold !

Same here. Except I had to bribe them with hot chocolate to go in this morning,
They love it. My oldest is Scandinavian thru and thru.

I made hot chocolate and we snuggled under blankets too, but I am totally taking your putting them into the dryer so they are warm idea. That is such an awesome tip. Oh we made cookies too.

We had hot cocoa too, with mini marshmallows! Love the blankets in the dryer idea!!! Definitely doing this next time!
