When flying in the winter

(Assuming you are going someplace where you wont need a parka) What do you do with your coats???

Do you leave them with a relative who drops you off?
Leave them in the car and haul hiney inside the terminal?
Bring them in your carryon? Suitcase?

Re: When flying in the winter

I might wear a lighter jacket rather than a huge winter coat and then I'll stuff it in a carry on.

Re: When flying in the winter

Thanks, we are going to Grand Cayman in February and when we used to go when I was little we would leave our coats with my grandparents but since they are not around anymore and we are taking a car to JFK I didn't know what I would do with the kids... with the 5 of us that would require a whole nothing suit caseChat Icon

Choice 2. We leave them in the car and freeze our bums waiting in the parking lot for the shuttle to come. Not worth it to drag them somewhere warm!

You can be dropped off at the check in terminal, leave the jackets in the cra and then have DH go and park. He can choose to either leave his coat or take it. Better to have 1 big coat then 6.
