When is your favorite time to go to Disney World and Why?
So were planning on taking AJ for her 3rd birthday. She's free up to that day and I figured why not save the money?
But frankly.... August is HOT!
We went for our honey moon the day before Halloween through the first week of Nov and it was great! All the fun halloween stuff and then on Nov 2nd it was Xmas in Disney!
So whats YOUR favorite time of the year and why?

late november into early december.
weather is nice and the parks are all decorated for Christmas.
we've gone twice during that time of year and had one rainy day.

DEFINITELY between the week after Thanksgiving up until about a week or so before Christmas! It's decorated so beautiful, we get tickets to the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade at MK and also the Candlelight Procession at Epcot...not to miss! Plus, there are usually no lines, I mean, in Disney terms! We sometimes go on a ride, come off and go right back on again!
Oh yeah, and weather wise, it's usually low 70's, but can get a little chilly at night!

I like ging in September. All of the schools are back in sessions so the lines are WAY shorter. Plus it's still hot enough to enjoy the pools, which is where we spend most of our time. If you're planning on doing mostly the parks, I would say the October/November would probably be best.

This is my vote too. We've been there twice during this time and I love that it's all decorated for Christmas. One time we went it was cold and the other time it was warmer where we could actually go in the pools during the day, but still had to wear sweaters at night.

We went mid October last year and loved it !! Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party was the best...I have been to Disney many times, but will probably always return in October from now on because we loved it so much

ITA (I've only gone once though).
I went this year in Feb (it was my second time going in Feb) and it was cold anboth times (and rainy).

we are going this year for Halloween- i'm totally psyched for the not so scary halloween party.. AND there is also a shuttle launch scheduled for 11/1 so we're going to try and make that too!!!

I have not been in YEARS but my friend went last year in October and she said the weather was perfect and there were NO lines.
I'm hoping to plan a trip for us next fall (DS will be 4 1/2)

We went at the end of April/early May. It was great and not packed! It was after Spring break but before all the kids were on vacation.

I've been twice. Once in August our first year married. HOOOOOTTTTT!
Then we brought the girls last year mid-November. Perfect! As you said, the Christmas stuff was up, which was great. The weather was SO comfortable, although it did rain one day.
If I weren't worried about taking them out of school, I would go then every time.

without a doubt.. 1st or 2nd week of December!
it is the best time to go IMO.. decorated for Christmas, still not busy, its the value season.. and the weather is beautiful!
we are going this Dec with the boys for the 1st time.. can't wait!

We're going mid September after the jewish holidays are over and school is back to full weeks. We are going to Mickey's not so scary party too and can't wait.

Do you think it makes a diff its going to be a mixed bag of folks. My parents (hopefully) my twin brothers (20), my aunt (70) my husband's jewish aunt & uncle (60's) their kids (30s) and those children (0-5)?
We are thinking of renting a house because there's so many of us.

We are going with DD this year at the beginning for Oct. for the food and wine festival, very excited about that. Otherwise my favorite time of year is usually mid january because its been my experience that the parks are dead quiet... The weather isn't the greatest, but the lack of crowds always made it worth it for me.

Last time we went it was the 2nd week in December and it was AMAZING!! They were all decorated and had a lot of special stuff going on because of the holidays. We are going for DD's 5th birthday in March 2011. I am hoping that is a ok time to go

We've gone in late April and in early September. I loved April but there was a bit of a cold snap going on and it was borderline too chilly to go swimming. But the park was great, not too busy and not too hot.

We went to the 1st Halloween party for the season last year on Sept. 4th. It was really cute and it was not that crowded.
