when not to wake infant after 4 hours to eat

DD is 2 weeks and 4 days old when can I stop waking her to eat if she doesnt wake before then? I cant remember whatI did with DD #1

I never woke DD to eat, even that young. She usually woke every 3-5 hours.

I never woke DS to eat. They made me feed him after like 4-5 hours in the hospital but I thought they were crazy.

I had to wake Paxton to feed him throughout the night because he was not gaining weight but other than that I wouldn't have.

my lamaze nurse said not to wake them durring the daytime.... ds doesnt go past 4 1/2 hours on his own, usually 3 hours like clockwork

at night time my ds never sleeps longer than 4 hours so i havent had that issue...

i wasnt waking my dd, but then at her 2month ck up. The peds didnt think she gained enough. She has a milk allergy so not sure if that was the exact reason she didnt gain or the fact I wasnt feeding enough.

So now she has me feed her every 3 hours (4 hours the latest) except for at night, she says I can let her sleep then.

I never woke him.

The only time I was told they needed to wake up was if they weren't gaining enough weight and the dr said they need to gain more.

My DS was in the NICU and they had him on a perfect 4 hour feeding schedule.
When we went home the nurses suggested waking him every 4 hours during the day and not at night. Initially he woke every 4 hours at night but by 3 weeks he was sleeping 5-6 hours at night and the ped was fine with that.

I think you are doing great... I never wake up Phillipe.... however sometimes when he sleeps 4+ he wakes up and is so ravenous.....
