When people buy off the registry?
Ok...here is me being super B!itchy....
I live OOS, so we sent all our family and friends back home a cute little card saying we were registered at BRU...yada yada...
DH's uncle's g/f sent us this religious figurine...that is beyond ugly....and we are by no means religious people...
I found it online at it was $17.50
There were plenty of things on my registry below $20....Why get me something i don't need?
Please don't take this as me being ungrateful..b/c I'm not...I just REALLY didn't NEED another dust collecter.

We have family like that too that send really weird stuff -- for our wedding we got this really weird wine bottle with our names on it... Not sure what we are supposed to do with it!

I think it comes from a good place. We're also super-unreligious, yet we received several Madonna and Christ baby pictures.... very inexpensive, but it's the sentiment (protecting the child) that really matters.....

with the birth of a baby, some people try to give gifts with religious value to them. What irked me more, was the people who bought clothes and other things that weren't on my registry from random stores with no gift receipt

Ugh. Well, I AM biitchy, and when Anthony and I got married, his Zia from Italy sent us a GODAWFUL plaque of Mary with child. Seriously. I'm NOT religious, and I don't need holyroller gifts left and right.
Why do we even bother setting up registries anyway?

My Aunt sent birthday gifts for Jeremy with no tags that were all the wrong size! Not only couldn't I return them, I couldn't exchange them for the correct size

Just wait until someone decides to give you preemie clothes for a 4 week old that was born at 7 pounds 2 oz...with no gift receipt...

OH FAMILIES!! For our wedding from my Aunt & Uncle and their 3 kids I received a box of used Christmas ornaments. It was the strangest gift EVER!!!

just wait to see what you get after the baby is born!
we have a son...2 people gave us outfits with pink...obviously i won't put him in that! luckily i was able to return them for very little though since there wasn't a gift receipt.
DH's aunt and uncle sent us a blue amish looking outfit with a bonnet....in size 6 months. it looks like a christening outfit.
we got so many summer outfits in size 6-9 months....when DS can wear them it will be the dead of winter.
but honestly, i appreciate every gift i've received. we've had a few good laughs (anyone who was at my bridal shower can think of one particular gift in particular!). anything i can't use i'll offer to someone who hopefully can. it's really the thought that counts.
oh....and we also got a SCARY looking crucifix for DS's room...i'll have to hang it up when the gift giver comes over, but it's frightening to look at!

Omg at least I'm not the only one with crazy family!
I should have suspented something from this lady b/c she is strange...at our wedding she got totally obliterated and had to be carried out of the reception!!
