When people tell you that you look good
Do you feel like they are just saying that to be nice? I do! I went thru a lot this year and gained weight before even getting pregnant so I am like a whale compared to my normal self so how could people really believe I ook good, especially non preggos! I just roll my eyes or look at them like they have 12 heads.

I don't get that I look good. I only put on weight in my belly, no where else. So I get a lot of "You having twins?" "No way are you making your due date."
It's lovely.

as a "non preggo" (who has never been pregnant), I think all shapes and sizes look good - from those who remain teeny tiny and only have a tiny little baby bump to those who have a big pregnant belly. It's exciting to see my friends with the pregnant "glow" and belly - no matter the size/shape. we're not just drinkin' the kool-aid

I'm inclined to think that people mean it if they're saying it. I mean, I would never say that if I didn't mean it and I don't know what the motivation to say it would be if they don't mean it! However, for me, I feel like people are shocked that i look good because I gained so much weight with my DD, but hardly any with this pregnancy so far.

My maternity pants are starting to feel a little snug so when they say I'm all belly or that I don't look like I've gained too much weight, I KNOW they're lying.

Most of the time I feel that are saying that just because they feel they have too.
If I am dressed up and feel good about myself I believe them, but if I KNOW i am not looking great i know they are telling a fib! BUT, sometimes it's nice hearing it even if I don't believe it. The last 3 times I GTG with my IRL friends no one has said a word so that makes me paranoid too!

Christine, since I went through a similar protocol to get preggo (minus lovenox) I hear you loud and clear.
Nothing is more attractive than my feet swollen to 3 times their size, my fat everywhere and my frizzy broken hair from the thyroid problem. I must look like a walking beauty queen! 
We will motivate each other after our girls are here Christine! I am determined to be skinny and pretty again!
