long ones- love them!
the only problem would be if you wanted the air on while you had them closed, but you could probably avoid that headache and just keep them opened while the AC is on

We have central ac and we never took the wall units out yet...so that won't be a problem!!

Believe it or not Pier 1 has the best looking fake flowers. If you play around with them and cut the stems I think they will look great.
