When should I start the Nanny Search?

I go back to work mid november. we need a nanny due to DD being a 32.5 week preemie. When would you officially start the search?

i found that they get jobs quickly- I lost out on 2 by just waiting 2-3 days to call back after the interview.

It'll take a while to pick one and you may want her with you for a week before you leave them alone

but from their viewpont its far in advance- will they commit and be able to wait for 2months before starting

I ended up finding someone great through a referral- DD loves her ( I'm jealous but happy shes happy)

i met/spoke with a lot of people the referals were much better than the agency candidates by far and less $$$

I would start to ask around now, let everyone you know you are on the hunt- churches are great resources
