when should i switch to stage 2 baby foods?
Ds is 6 1/2 months and on stage 1, we started him on baby foods at 5 months and have one more vegetable to introduce before we will have done all the fruit and veggies. at what point do i go to stage 2? Can i just randomly do it at one of his feedings? We just introduced peas (stage 1) yesterday and he loves it, should i give him a stage 2 peas tomorrow or will it throw him off since the consistency of the stage 1 and stage 2 are different TIIA!

I never noticed a difference in the consistency is different at al between stage 1 and stage 2, i think it's just portion size. I eat the fruits myself too :)
I went up to stage 2 when DD was finishes the whole stage 1 and looking for more. I don't do cereal though, dd has been on solids since the new year.

I agree that Stage 2 is just a bigger portion and also introduces more flavors and combinations. It think DS started at 6 months.
