When someone sends funeral flowers...
do you think they should get a TY?

me too... if i was sending them.
BUT, if i didn't receive one for attending/sending flowers, i certainly wouldn't be upset by it- they're loss of someone close to them far exceeds my need for a thank you note.

I agree with this completely! I actually think that it's ridiculous that families in mourning are supposed to send TY's to people for paying respects and such in the first place.

I agree too... proper ettiquett would say yes, but I would never EXPECT a thank you from a grieving family.

I know, I don't like to sign the book at the wake, b/c I don't want to make them feel obligated to send me a thank you note.

NEVER! The last thing a family that is grieving needs to worry about is sending thank yous to people... and I think it's selfish that someone would expect one.

It is usually done but I know firsthand how hard it can be to deal with while you are getting over the loss of a loved one. My family tried to split them up when my grandfather passed away two months ago and it was so difficult to coordinate....we think we finally just got everyones out..
