I think it is our bodies preparing us to be up with the baby constantly...especially when it gets closer.

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

Tell me about it... I hate being this tired all of the time! I missed work 3x's already because I couldn't get out of bed. Pregnancy is not what I thought it would be. So far it's not much fun at all! No offense Chat Icon or Chat Icon.

I agree to a certain extent. I agree as far as the fatigue goes but I really can't complain otherwise being I haven't gotten sick or anything yet but than again I'm in my 6th week as of Saturday so it could also be a bit early to tell what the future holds.

I do feel a little dizzy today though Chat Icon

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

Yes it does. Once I hit 12.5 weeks I started to feel normal again.

Now at almost 35 weeks I'm tired, but not nearly as bad as during the 1st trimester.

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

I have been more tired during pregnancy then not but the first trimester is by far the worst. I felt much better once I got to the 13/14 week mark.

Mine ended at 13 weeks.

At that time I also started eating healthier and working out. I am now 27.5 weeks and I still feel pretty good! I am still working out also. I have a feeling as I continue to get bigger I will have to slow down though. Hopefully I still have another 6 or 7 weeks of working out though!

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

It gets better. First trimester I would send DH out with our friends alone becuase I was just too sleepy and if I wasnt I was too nauseous.

Around 14 weeks we went to a bbq and I realized it was like 1am and I was still awake. Second trimester was pretty good in that respect.
Now at 30 weeks I am pretty tired all the time!

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

I was a zombie the first trimester, but then it went away. Then I was exhausted towards the end, but that was because I wasn't sleeping all that comfptably between being so big and waking to pee every couple of hours.

I got my energy back around 10 weeks.

ETA: it did come back in the third trimester but an iron supplements helped.

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

I was wondering that myself. I am 24 weeks and still tired all the time. I never got that burst of energy in the second trimester that I heard about.

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

I will be 13w tomorrow, and I am like the walking dead. I'm hoping I perk up soon! I want to get into working out but cannot even imagine having the energy with the way I feel now.

I think maybe all the hormonal fits are taking a lot out of me though. Being a biotch is exhausting.

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

I was exhausted my 1st trimester. I'm 26 weeks now and I'm still tired, but just not as exhausted as I was for the 1st 12 weeks. I'm actually able to stay up until 11 or 12. I still get to a point almost every day in the afternoon that I really feel like I could just fall asleep at any moment, but it usually passes within the hour.

I feel exactly the same way... walking dead/90 year old woman. It's awful! I want to go to the gym so bad, but also just can't imagine because any spare time I have I like to nap or relax because I'm so pooped!

I think DH thinks I like to play this whole pregnancy thing up, but I am really feeling crappy!

I am totally being a biotch lately too! Especially at work. Whoops! I can't control it. Chat Icon

Re: When will the exhaustion end???

Between 6-10 weeks I was falling asleept at my desk around 3pm. After work I would get a 2nd wind but be sound asleep as early as 9pm.

I'm now 13 weeks and I am no longer sleepy at 3 and I can make it 'till 10 or 11pm most nights.

So it is getting better...Chat Icon

Bad in the first trimester, a little better in the second and worse in the third.
