When you are out taking your kids Trick or Treating...
Do you leave candy outside your door? I have been doing this. The first year even my bowl got stolen lol. Of course every year all the candy is gone. I hate not knowing if the first kid that comes just takes it all.
We just moved to the neighborhood and I don't want the neighbors to think we are unfriendly but I don't want all the candy to go to one kid.

I don't leave candy out, but we are only going to be gone for an hour at most.

Thats the thing I don't go straight home we go out by my sisters so I probably won't be home until around 7:00.

I live in a condo complex with 150 homes. About 1/3 of these have children. We are all trick or treating together! I will leave out the bowl of snacks though in case there are stragglers or older kids that are too "cool" to trick or treat with the "babies"

We carry a bucket of candy in the wagon and hand it out while we are TOT'ing. We have left a bowl out prior years and only once was it totally empty when we got home.

BTDT, one kid usually takes it ALL. One year I used my "Fill A Bowl" (it has candy inside the walls of the bowl) and I saw the kids trying to get the candy out! The vultures come out on halloween, so I wouldn't leave anything out. Now one person goes out with the kids, one person stays home to pass out candy.

I don't leave it out. I do feel bad, but, I don't want it all going to one kid.
Im sure I'll have kids before I head to my parents and after. We honestly dont get too many, so, we shall see.
Being tomorrow is Friday, I just hope the doorbell isn't ringing at 10PM

yes. We arent home and i feel bad for the kids. I fill it up a couple of times throughout the night and it all gone by morning.

That's a good idea!!! I know we'll be out before the big crowds, but I didn't want to miss the little kids who tend to come earlier. I get a TON of kids and I bought so much candy, I don't want to have any leftover.

I am going to leave the "not so great candy" out while I am out trick or treating with DS and I will leave a guilt trip note, not that they will care, but it makes me feel better.

I say dont leave anything.. your not home, thats not being unfriendly.. just means noones their to hand it out. Just easier not to leave candy IMO.

We do leave stuff out, but I think they've left the bowl in the past. I put a cheap bowl out though, just in case it walks off 
Honestly, I'd rather put it out and have 5 kids take tons of candy than not put it out at all. We won't be home for a good junk of the evening.

No. We don't get trick or treaters on our block at all because there are no sidewalks to walk up and down the street. So even we go up the block and around the corner to trick or treat.
