When you gate check your stroller,
do you put yours in a bag to protect it?

Although I did hear they throw your stuff around anyway so we bought the MacClarren bag. So glad we did b/c there were other MacClarens at the gate when we landed. Ours was waiting for us and we saw another family annoyed b/c someone took their stroller and left them with the wrong one. Since we had the bag and our info on it no one took it.
Also, got a bag for our carseat too. It's worth it I think. Figured when we put it away it'll be safer in the bag too. JMO
You (or someone) spent a lot on the stuff. It's worth it to spend a little more to protect it

I didn't the last two times I traveled with one..I guess I fig with gate checking it gets the least amt of handling ...so I was safe...crossing fingers...so far so good!

We did get the bag to protect our stroller, and I'm glad we did. The bag has a couple of tears in it, so I'm glad the bag does, and not my stroller.

On the way there, I didn't get a chance to, and it was fine. No scratches or wear and tear. On the way back, I put it in the bag I had brought, just for good measure 
ETA: we got the car seat bag with wheels. It was SO helpful when traveling around the airport!

We have a bag for our car seat which we check with our luggage at the front counter.
We do not have a bag for our stroller and have never had a problem gate checking it and we fly very often. However, we travel with a smaller, lighter stroller (the Maclaren Volo) and not our everyday stroller (BOB).

I've never had a problem and the stroller has been gate checked without a bag 4 times. To me it would be a huge hassle trying to get the stroller in the bag while trying to board the plane. I've also never used a bag for our car seat.

YES!!! Last time we flew we had a stroller bag and our stroller came back clean and unbroken - several others didn't I heard a few people complaining theirs came back dirty and one person with a torn canopy. It isn't really necessary but it does give it extra protection.
