Have you found that both parents came? I need to order extra pizza for the adults but I am not sure how much I need.

There will be 12 kids. How many pies should I get? Do I figure two slices per adult? Three pies? Or could I get away with two pies?

I had DDs party and we had 3 pies for the adults. We had 12 kids too. Only one family had both the husband and wife attend. All the others only had the mom attend. Every single slice was eaten. The kids went through two pies but they were cut into 16 slices. I also served cut up fruit and veggies on a platter. I had a palate of juice boxes and water bottles. HTH

I've been to tons of kids parties at this point and it's pretty rare that both parents attend (unless they're family or personal friends). I'd err on the side of caution and do two slices per adult; pizza is easily frozen and I'd rather have too much than too little-although really even though most hosts insist, I've hardly seen any mom going for that 2nd slice or that 2nd piece of hero or whatever...no one wants to come across as a slob, I think. Haven't had a party yet for DS but, have been to a bunch. Only one parent has attended in most cases unless the younger sibling has been invited too (many of DS 1's friends have siblings who are friends with DS 2 so they invite the younger siblings).

Pretty rare that both attend in my 14 or so years of attending parties!

I always have extra - sometimes one parent comes, sometmes both, sometimes its the grandparents that bring the kid .....you never know.

I'd rather have left over food than not enough
