We leave for the dominican republic in a few days. I just got the book "Travels with Baby" and the first aid kit list is sooooooooooooo long.
Some things they tell us to take: Saline nasal spray Aspirator with guard Nail file Thermometer Quicklist of med dosages Tylenol Benadryl Tummy Drops Baby Vapor Rub Antibiotic cream Antiseptic Protective skim cream or balm (they gave burt's bees as an example for chapped skin for tender bottoms from sandy swim diapers)
Do you take all this stuff with you on trips? Is there anything else that is a must?
We've only been on driving trips with DS. This will be our first trip out of the country.

i don't take anything. maybe the baby tylenol since you're going out of country, but we've traveled several times with DS and just went to CVS if we needed something. i'd probably also bring allergy meds in case he ate something he never had and reacted to it.
some of those things on the list have me

Definately bring the baby Tylenol ( and maybe even Motrin)....My DS got sick last time we were in DR and getting kids Tylenol was VERY hard

Re: When you travel, what do you bring in your emergency/first aid kit?
I always take a little med kit when we travel, even though it's all been in the US and with plenty of access to stores I just have the stuff already and space wasn't an issue for us in packing, so I bring this stuff:
- thermometer - vaseline for thermometer - Tylenol, Motrin - teething tablets (when she was teething) - saline spray - nail file & clippers
Never had Benadryl but it's a good idea!
