at about 5 weeks, but then at 12 weeks, he started waking again at 3:30.

4 weeks started 6 hour clips, 8 weeks 8-10 hours sleeping through.
We are the rarity though

how do you define "through the night"? I just read somewhere, that it meant sleeping 5 hours. If thats your definition, she was sleeping through at 8 weeks (6-8 hour stretches).
But MY definition of sleeping though the night, is that I don't have to get up at all during MY sleep. She didn't do that (consistently sleeping 12 hours though) until 5 months.

Same here. Through the night in baby terms or mommy terms? Molly will be 4 months tomorrow and now goes from about 7- 4:30 and wakes up thinking it is time to rise and shine! So that is not through the night to me, but to the pediatric world I think it is since she slept 9 hours. (I do give her a bottle at 10pm but she never even wakes up).
If anyone has any advice to get her to stop the 4am wake up call, I'm listening.  One night, she slept all the way until 7am, so I know she can do it, but that was a one time thing.

At one year old! Had to implement CIO and it worked like a charm.. I couldnt do it any earlier.

Bryan the past 2 nights has slept 11PM-6AM. He did this a couple nights last week too. Its not consistent yet.
He will be 6 weeks on Monday.
He cat naps during the day now too. I haven't had a "solid" nap from him.

at 3 months they started to sleep from 9:30 to 5. but lately they have beeb getting up at 3 or 4. i think they are having a growth sprut

21 months by my definition -- which meant that mommy could get 7 hours of sleep at grown up hours.

2 and half months. He goes to sleep around 10pm and does not wake up until around 6:30am to be fed.

Luca is about to be 4 months and sleeps from about 7:30pm to 3am and then goes back down until 7ish.
