Where can I get good rice pudding?
My SIL said she's never tried it, which just shocked me since she eats A LOT . I want her to try it but now I feel like I just can't get it at any diner or whatever because I hyped it up. Any suggestions?

I actually like the ones they sell in the supermarket made by Kozy (orange container)...but if you can make your own I would do that and add some cinnamon.

If you're willing to go to the city, there's a place called Rice to Riches that only sells rice pudding. They have a ton of different flavors.
Also, Martha's Country Bakery in Astoria has great traditional rice pudding.

Re: Where can I get good rice pudding?
I've never made it before, though I'd like to try. I guess either I'll do that or pick up some Kozy Shack. Seems like the easiest options. Thanks!

Re: Where can I get good rice pudding?
Town Deli in Massapequa Park makes the BEST rice pudding.
It has the meringue on top and everything.
It is almost exactly like my grandmother makes.
Pick up a 1/4 lb. It's delicious.

Re: Where can I get good rice pudding?
Have you tried the FDNY recipe by John Sineno? It's SO good!!
Recipe for FDNY Pudding
The only small changes I make are that I add a little bit of heavy cream to the milk.. so like 3/4 of a quart milk and 1/4 quart cream. AND I soak the raisins in pure vanilla extract and a little rum to plump them up before adding them in.

Re: Where can I get good rice pudding?
I've worked in a few Latin-American neighborhoods and have found a few of those little hole in the wall restaurants/bodegas make really good rice pudding.
There was a place in Corona near the Lemon Ice King that was great.
