Where can you get unbiased news?
Listening to XM this morning about the govt income from income tax being 2 billion yet they got 4 billion from income tax last year and how instead of cutting some programs, or even a senators health coverage , they just keep spending more. I will admit it was Foxnews who are anti Obama but hearing that is SCARY!! A 2 trillion deficit for my kids is not exactly what I'm hoping for... that and some other things they were saying about how Obamas administration told CA that if they didn't agree to some unions something they were going to cut their bail out money, basically strong arming them to get what they wanted. Is there someplace that has just straight news without an opinion?

The Economist, your local library will have it if you don't want to spend $100+ a year on a subscription.

Am I reading your post correctly that Fox News is pinning this deficit on Obama who has been in office for 5 months?

Fox News really hates Obama...I do not watch but I remember reading somewhere that someone on Fox News actually said they "hoped" Obama failed who says that about your own country? Not something I would want to watch

He was a senator before president and they vote on budget issues. A reach yes but not 100% off base.
CNN is more left leaning as in MSNBC.
I also like BBC News that is carried on BBA America and CNBC.

MSNBC is left as Fox News is right
CNN I think is more fair, although you may be right they may tilt left NOT nearly as much as Fox or MSNBC though

Re: Where can you get unbiased news?
fox news is off the charts to the right...
msnbc has some super left shows in the evening that rival fox news in the propaganda spewing
CNN is more middle of the road... but it does not report news. (same 5 ratings grabbing stories over and over again... rather mind-numbing)
BBC and other european news organizations actually report news (News occurs every day in europe, africa, and asia...it's true! It's not only california wildfires, swine flu, US politics, and buffalo plane crash investigations) However, they have their own brand of biases... (usually painfully politiically correct... to the point of self-loathing)
If you have to choose a poison, for network news, I'd probably go with a tad of BBC and a heavy dose of PBS/NPR.

They were saying that even though the gov't isn't taking in as much money as they did last year instead of tightening their belts to help reduce the deficit they are keeping everything status quo and even spending more.

Re: Where can you get unbiased news?
I find that AP is the most balanced and unbiased. JMO
and for the record, Obama may only be President for 5 months, but he has managed to triple GWB's deficit in those short months.
also, Congress holds the purse strings. and the Democrats have been running the show in Congress for the last 2+ years.

Oh! Your right it was Rush Limbaugh..My mistake. For some reason I associated it with Fox News.
that's not what Rush said. he never said he wants Obama to fail. Rush was talking about his policies, not his presidency.
this is what he said: RUSH: I got a request here from a major American print publication. "Dear Rush: For the Obama [Immaculate] Inauguration we are asking a handful of very prominent politicians, statesmen, scholars, businessmen, commentators, and economists to write 400 words on their hope for the Obama presidency. We would love to include you. If you could send us 400 words on your hope for the Obama presidency, we need it by Monday night, that would be ideal." Now, we're caught in this trap again. The premise is, what is your "hope." My hope, and please understand me when I say this. I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him a chance." Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun. I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don't want them to succeed. link to transcript
oh, the only unbiased "news" is cspan!
