Where did you buy your home office furniture?

I'm not ready to buy yet but I'll take any and all suggestions you have on good places to buy.

I love this type of style, especially the ones that are modular that you can mix and match:




But, like I said, I'm open to anyone that isn't going to rip me off. I just need to make sure I search all options since I don't want to spend the money at PB!

I got mine at PB, was not cheap but I love it.

I got our modular set (similar to the one you posted) at Target.

Wall mounted cabinets were from ReStore (former upper kitchen cabinets)
"Desks" are office tables from two different company "yard sales".
File cabinet I actually did buy new (only because I didn't think I needed a filing cabinet when I bought the office tables).

I honestly don't know what color because I still have planning to do. My desk is in the bedroom and the woods don't match. But we'll be trading up to a bigger house in less than 10 years and I plan on keeping furniture for as long as possible. So I'd have to decide what to do, plan for the next house or plan for now, color wise.

I think I should start smaller, with more storage, but with the ability to buy similar pieces later that will match when I have my own office.

The color though... I love crisp look of white but I worry about ruining it or something.

I only ask b/c I have a piece from the Ballard collection in Tuscan brown. So let me know if you decide to go that route - I'll sell it to you for less.

JCP has something similar and also you can try home decorators I think they had something like it

I do know someone who got a great deal at the pottery barn outlets. but its hit or miss with them. always worth a shot though

we just bought thre one from Pottery Barn you posted. We love it...I am now trying to find a 2 shelf black book shelf. the matching PB one is $$$

ours is pb in black. I love it, except I think dh didn't put it together right because the drawers barely come out from under the top of the desk. It makes it difficult to get anything or see anything.
