where do you buy organic chicken?
I'm starting DS on chicken and I want to make it for him. Who has the best price for organic chicken (and beef)?

Whole Foods Trader Joes
Alot of "regular" stores carry organic/no hormone/antibotic chicken. I know I can get it in Shop Rite

Re: where do you buy organic chicken?
My local Shop and Stop always has organic chicken on sale and I stock up, their brand, Nature's Promise.
I also resort to hormone free, vegetarian diet chickens when there is a good price. The main difference is that one is certified the other isn't. But always Product of USA.

Re: where do you buy organic chicken?
I buy it at Hannaford supermarket upstate, but Food Lion carries the same brand (Nature's Place)
I also buy it at Fairway or Whole Foods when it's on sale. same with the beef.
we are also awaiting the arrival of our 1/8th cow from a certified farm. we literally "bought the cow" that has been butchered to specifications. til then we are buying buffalo meat for ground beef and organic steaks when I can find them.
I also buy Nature's Place sausage and/or occassionally Neiman Ranch

That is awesome! my friend in NC ordered 1/4 cow last year! Her and her friends started a "club"and once every 5-6 weeks, a member takes a ride to the farm which is about 2 hours from Charlotte and picks up a 6 week supply of milk and cheese for everyone. They have enough people in their club so that each member only has to make the trip twice per year!
