Where do you buy your fresh fish?
In the past, I haven't had much luck buying fresh fish. I've tried a few fish markets near me but have always been disappointed.
Any suggestions? Supermarkets, fish markets? I'm in the south Nassau area and will travel.

I have gotten pretty good cuts at Sweet Pea (corner of Hillside and Herricks) near Nathans.

New Wave in wantagh.
I also by fresh tilapia and flounder at BJ's sometimes.... they don't always have it, they have 2 kinds everyday in the refrigerator section by the cheese and they are so fresh and reasonable!

B & B in Amityville... The fish is super fresh and I've never had a problem...
I'll also get the Talapia or Salmon from Costco... They have a stuffed talapia that is delicious... or the salmon with the herbed butter is amazing too.

Re: Where do you buy your fresh fish?
We really only eat Salmon in my house and I buy it at Costco. I prefer the whole side and cut it into fillets myself.

I buy at Cross Island Fruits in Lynbrook or sometimes the Fish Market (IDK the real name of it LOL) on Long Beach Road by Gino's in RVC.

Re: Where do you buy your fresh fish?
There is a fish place on Long Beach Road in Island Park called South Shore Fish Market. There is a tiny restaurant but also a little market. A lot of the stuff was swimming that morning. Usually the guy in there will tell you how to prepare it as well
