Where do you furniture shop?

When DH and I move, we are going to need all new furniture. We've been checking out Bob's b/c their prices seem great...

where do you recommend shopping?

We checked route 110, we found nada, but maybe you will have better luck. We got the majority of our furniture at Macys and Fortunoff *tear*, we also got some pieces at overstock.com, jcpenney, pottery and crate. (u can check the outlets too)

Restoration Hardware, Horchow, Ethan Allen are great too!

Oh and i got a great accent chair at Target !

When Macys are having sales you can really find good stuff and reasonable prices, plus i opened up a cc and rec'd additional 15% off. We got our sectional for $1800 and it was originally $2400 and thats WITH delivery and stain protection, warranty etc etc.

i love pottery barn, crate and barrel, restoration hardware....sometimes if i see something i like and its too expensive i search for knock offs

i already have a lot of pieces picked out now we just have to get the house

Most of our furniture is coming from williams sonoma home, restoration hardware, ethan allen, kravet, crate and barrel, and pottery barn.

We got alot of light fixtures from restoration hardware, robert abby, and pottery barn.

We did a lot of searching for our bed and settled on Restoration Hardware. I liked a few pieces from Pottery Barn but wound up finding the EXACT SAME pieces at JCPenney for a fraction of the cost.

Our couch is from Macys and we are happy with the quality and price.

Most recently, we bought our tv stand, bookshelf, nighstands and dresser from Crate and Barrel. We are extremely happy with their quality and the order experience.

I also have a Home Decorators filing cabinet but in that situation, you get what you pay for. It's not terrible, but I would not buy anything from them that I would need to take apart or move around, you know?

We are trying to be more environmentally conscious and buy items that we intend on keeping for life. Not buying disposable furniture that will wind up in a landfill somewhere in a couple of years. That's why the expensive stores - we won't be replacing them anytime soon.

Went to Bob's was not impressed. we got our furniture from Ashley home furniture and siegermans. HTH

We have pieces from Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrel, Ethan Allen & some unfinished furniture shop in Smithtown. I can't think of the name at the moment. But if you can't find what you want, they are a great resource b/c they will make it to order. I believe there's also one in Mineola.

We just bought a beautiful dinette set at Ashley Furniture.

I've also purchase some furniture from JC Penny which has PB knock off's. I refuse to pay PB pricing.

We got all our furniture at Bobs. They just had everything we really liked. We did check out Levitz when it was going out of business, Raymour & Flannigan, Macys and somewhere else I forget but didn't see anything we loved at the other places.

We just furnished our entire house, so I feel like every weekend was spent at different stores...most of our stuff is from Ethan Allen, Thomasville, Raymour & Flanigan, and Macy's...There's so much to choose from!

ITA!! JCPenny is great for PB knock offs!

you know i just checked out JCP and saw entry furniture and office furniture that looks just like the PB stuff i wanted to get! i never knew JCP had nice furniture! i always thought it was like old farty stuff for some reason

We have furnished a lot of rooms with hand me downs for now, but our dining set is from Bob's, and our living room furniture (the tables and tv stand - anything wood) is from Target.

Three different people have come in and asked if the living room pieces were from Pottery Barn though!! Target is way cheaper, but you have to put it together yourself (like Ikea).

i have a mix of furnishings from ethan allen, drexel heritage, antique shops, just 4 the home in huntington village, pottery barn, jcp and pier 1.

I bought my Drexall Heritage dining room set from this online site and the service was great.

I also have had superb service from Bare Boards in Bohemia. Good options for sofas, dining room tables, etc.

We LOVE Room&Board- great quality.
We also have great furniture from Thomasville and restoration hardware.
