Where do your dogs sleep? Question added
My latest sleeping issues with Jersey got me wondering. Where do your dogs sleep?
Quick question for those of you that said your dog sleeps in their own bed in your room-How did you get your dog to stay in their own bed & not jump in yours? Was there much training involved or did it just happen naturally? TIA!

My dog used to sleep on our bed but now he sleeps on his own bed in our bedroom. He took up too much space on the bed

Bonnie sleeps in our bed, but she moves when I tell her to, and I get into bed first. And she does move when DH comes to bed.
She doesn't usually use our pillows. She's usually at the foot of the bed or between our legs.

In our room on the floor with her own pillows. She can come on the bed but not all night and she gets off when we tell her.
It's really is "Alpha space" but if you allow her on the bed or she naps there and gets off when you tell her it's fine.
I just read that link... ugh, if THAT'S the case, then DH is "doggy-whipped". Bella ALWAYS steals his pillow. If he moves his head for one second, she's on that pillow like a magnet. She won't do that to me though... Am I the "pack leader" then?  heheheh dh will LOVE this one!

Usually in bed with me but in the summer when its hot he sleeps on the hard wood floor in the living room because I guess its cooler when I dont turn the AC on.

our dogs used to sleep in our bed but it was getting ridiculous with 4 dogs. Now the 2 larger ones sleep in the living room on their bed, and the 2 smaller ones sleep in the other room on their bed (yes, they all like to share!)

on some nights- when we are "needy" lol and want her with us- she will sleep in between us in our bed.
but most days- she has her own bed on the floor in front of ours.
she also has another bed in our den that she will lay on during the day.

I am not happy about it but she sleeps on our bed. She starts off at the bottom but ends up between us with her head on whatever pillow she can find.

Denver sleeps in the bed, Bella sleeps on her own bed in the room, and Holden varies from the ottoman, to our bed, but mostly under the bed.

At night when we say we're going to bed, he tucks DH in. He lays in the middle of the bed and then curls up to DH until he falls asleep. He practically spoons DH. Once DH falls asleep then the pup will get up and lay on the floor in the bathroom or go to his own bed or lay at the foot of our bed.
He pretty much sleeps wherever he wants too

My 90+ lb Golden Retriever is trained to never go on the couch or bed (any furniture).
So she never goes on our bed.
She was always crated - but then one night when I was halfway through my pregnancy - she decided that she wanted to lay on the floor on a pillow next to my side of the bed.
She went in there, when I went to bed. My DH goes to bed after me - so he wouldn't be able to get her up to go in her cage - so eventually he stopped fighting with her.
My daughter is now 13 months old, so she has been sleeping in our room ever since I was about 4 months pregnant.
Now sometimes she doesn't even wait for me to go to bed
