Where does your infant sit/stay when you & DH eat dinner?

Where is your DC when you eat dinner? We put him in a bouncer on the table when we eat. If he is fussy, we hold him sometimes. He is 3 1/2 months.

Should we introduce his highchair to get him used to sitting with us at dinner? Or should we only use the highchair once we start feeding him cereal/food?

At 3.5 months, DD would either be in her swing or carseat when we ate dinner. I did not introduce the highchair until she started to eat cereal from a spoon.

We put our DD on the floor in her bouncy and if she got fussy we would hold her but that was rare. She sometimes was sleeping when we were eating. You could try the bumbo if you have one that is another place we have been putting her recently while we eat. We did not introduce the high chair until recently and I think even at 5 months she is a little small for it because they can't sit up completely and she leans to one side so I hold her hand so she can sit upright.

sometimes in the bouncy chair, we put it on the table, in her exersaucer next to us at the table or her swing...also pretty close to us.

at that age we kept DC on the floor next to us in the ktichen in his bouncy seat. Once we transitioned to the highchair, he sat there, even if he wasnt eating. We gave him some toys to play with.

It was right around then we started putting them to bed BEFORE we ate, which was one of the best decisions we ever made!

now my dd goes to sleep around 7 so we eat after, but when she was going to bed closer to 9, she is in her bouncy seat, sometimes on the table and if we have people eating with us, on the floor inbetween us

In her crib!!! It's very rare she is awake when we eat dinner. On those rare occassions that she is, I have one of those clip on travel booster seats that we keep hooked onto the kitchen Island when we eat.

When our kids were that young we either put them in the swing or bouncer at the table with us. We don't eat until about 7 so we would want to keep them awake so that we could put them to bed pretty much right after dinner. By about 5 months our kids were eating meals at night and we would feed them with us.
