Where to buy boxes to pack?
I dont want to get grocery store boxes. Where can i buy boxes to pack? How much do they cost and how sturdy are they? How varying are the sizes?

I got some at HD or Lowe's. They are seasonal but they are usually cheaper than at storage/moving places.

You can also check on uhaul.com -- ther's a message board and sometimes people give them away. I've seen ads on craigslist for that too.

I bought ours at Uhaul. Their prices weren't bad (can't recall exactly how much they were) and they let you return any boxes you didn't use.

Thank you but I def prefer new. I would be afraid to take someone else's boxes...esp with roaches and bedbugs and all that scary stuff out there!!

We got boxes form the moving ompany.
We also got the big 18 gallon plastic bins from home depot when they were on sale for $3.88.. They usually have that sale often.

we used both home depot and uhaul boxes.
We LOVED the wardrobe boxes.

I bought boxes online along with bubble wrap. I can't remember the company's name but I just did a search and compared prices. I got them much cheaper then HD was selling them for even with the cost of shipping them
I think Uhaul gives you a discount on boxes if your using them to move
I'm so excited for you that you are already packing!!!!

Papermart.com perhaps? I know my DH uses them for packing supplies for work (boxes, bubblewrap, sleeves, etc..)

if you go to hd or lowes, lowes has better boxes.
we did about 10 boxes and then bought a large amount of bins. boxes we threw out or gave to a friend moving after us and the bins we will be keeping.

Do you know anyone who works in a hospital? The surgical teams get a box with the implements for each operation already packed. The boxes are all the same size regardless of the type of surgery. They are huge, fold & unfold easy and have a hinge style lid. And they're clean. My SIL got so many for us when we moved and they were the best boxes. And free.
