where to dress girls for christening?
Thinking of Juliet's post, i see so many cuties in their gowns photographed at home, outside, etc.
With Emily, we didn't want to get her dress wrinkled in the car ride so we brought her gown and dressed her at the church. But we didn't get as many great shots that way.
Is that what you all did too? Or did you put on their gowns earlier just for photos?
Thinking about what do with baby #2

We got her dressed at home and put her in the carseat with her dress. I honestly didn't even think about wrinkles and it worked out fine.

we didn't get a lot of great shots since we were rushed for time and had awful weather. So we wound up dressing her again the following week and having a little photoshoot.

Put the gown on earlier for pics then changed her in the church.

we went to the Church 1/2 hour early and dressed her there and did some pictures, as well as after the ceremony with the family.
I also dressed her again the next day and took some pictures of her in a better mood so we could have a nice picture to use for the thank-you's.

Re: where to dress girls for christening?
I took photos before and after. I dressed Lauren in a sweet dress prior to the church and at the church dressed her in her christening gown (some churches require you not dress them prior to the ceremony). After the ceremony I put her in the car seat to the party and had her in it for a few minutes then back into the party dress then closer to the evening put her in another outfit

Re: where to dress girls for christening?
great, thanks ladies. At the time I didn't even think of staging a little re-do with her outfit....she had a cold that week so she wasn't happy.
I'll have to think about this some more....either way I'll definitely bring the baby and dress her at the church since it's a long silk gown and will definitely wrinkle in the carseat.

This is what I did with all 3. So much more relaxed to get some great shots.
