Where to go on vacation?
We have about 10 days at the end of August and I'm trying to decide where to go. We were even thinking of staying in the US. We've done Mexico and aren't into going on a cruise again with DD. DD will be almost 3 when we go.
Are there any great vacation spots in the US besides Disney? Doesn't have to be a beach but it would be nice to be near the ocean since we live out west with no beaches.

Alaska is probably out of our budget for this trip but I was thinking maybe Canada.

My parents went to Yellowstone last summer and loved it. The geysers and elk wandering all over the park could be interesting to kids.
Grand canyon is really nice and only a short drive from vegas if you wanted a more exciting day.
San diego has sea world and the zoo and beaches.
If you wanted to come back east, myrtle beach is fun and has kid stuff too.

We wanted to do something US for our anniversary so we went to Arizona, and let me tell you, it was great.
We stayed at the Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix and then took a day trip to Sedona.....
We relaxed by the amazing pools and got massages......had a phenominal dinner at tarbell's (he won on Iron Chef!!!)....
It really was an amazing time....

What time of year did you go? I thought of Sedona but Arizona in August?

What about Maine and Cape Cod?
One of the best trips I ever had was when I stayed a few days on Block Island, Newport and Bar Harbor Maine.
My sister has been going to Ocean's Edge Resort in Brewster, Cape Cod since her girls were small. They love it! It's a little pricey, but you will be saving on air fare.
