WWYD? about the hotel we stayed at on my vacation
Casa Marina in Key West...this place was $400/night and i knew the hotel was going to be under construction (granted, you really dont know how much until you get there)...
WELL, both sides of our room (the hallway side which was outdoors, and the balcony side) were being worked on. We woke up to tile cutters, hammer pounding, trucks backup beeps, ETC ETC. It started at 8am every day. Oh and at the pool everyday there were jackhammers on. Also, the gym was closed. I complained a bit and had them refund the "resort fee" (what bs)..but that amounted to only $80!! I don't think our room should have even been opened yet due to the noise (It was brand new).
Should I write a letter requesting a credit or an incentive to come back? . TIA!

That sux! I can't believe they put you right in the deep of the construction area - they should have moved you to another room. I would definitely write to Wynham and explain what happened.

Absolutely! I work in the hotel industry and putting someone in a side of a hotel that is being renovated is VERY wrong. I'm surprised that such a high end property would do such a thing,.

Absolutely I would write a letter and if they don't compensate you appropriately, call you credit card company (hopefully you paid with a cc) and dispute the charges, it's a lengthy process but so worth it!
