Where to stay...New Orleans
Looking to do a quick trip in March for 3 nights, but have never been there. Anyone have any hotel suggestions?

Excellent suggestions!! If you want to stay near the french quarter but not in it, check out Loews.
Also note there are two Omni properties - I stayed at the smaller one, Omni Royal Crescent, and wasn't impressed. Omni Royal Orleans is great.

I'm headed to a conference at the InterContinentel Hotel on St. Charles St. I don't really have a choice of hotels because I don't like staying at a different venue from the conference location. However, the reviews look great and they gave our organization a room block at a great rate even during one of the festivals. The conference planners visited the hotels before we booked.

We usually stay at the marriot right off Boubon. It is a great location because we are close to everything but off the main street of insanity. It is only a Block and half away so we can get over there and have some fun and than go get some sleep and not have to worry about any of the crazies showing up at our door LOL.
