Where would you choose?? UPDATE!!
I am planning to go away in Oct with a few of my friends..either Miami or Puerto Rico...I can't decide which one!
I have been to Miami a few times but I have never been to Puerto Rico...but I also LOVE Miami....I hate making decisions
UPDATE:
PR IS BOOKED!!!!!!!!! We are staying at the Ritz...I am sooo excited!!!!

You're very indecisive lately.... beach or no beach? mall or no mall? panchos or pizziola? lol
If you want to lay low and veg, Puerto Rico.. if ya wanna go out and "club it up".. Miami... 
I'm down either way.. but it's your 30th... so PICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got back from Puerto Rico and had a great time.
I have been to Miami, and I don't really like it. I thought South beach was nice, but was dirty and had a lot of homeless sitting around on the beach. Miami does have great night life though.
The beaches in PR where beautiful!! The sand was so smooth, it felt fake. Old San Juan has a ton of restaurants and bars, and is really nice to walk around in. Almost every hotel has a casino and I am sure some have clubs, though I am not sure where to go.

lol, you have to go back and check it out again!!!!
the first time I was there all I remember was sitting in a cab and there are no street lights, so cabs just go.. but not all that different from a cab ride in NYC
Safety wise I felt fine!!
