Where's the ark? (Bad weather is coming again.)

LOTS of rain coming again over the next few days. Rivers and creeks are still quite high, so if you live in an area of typical flooding, beware. If you don't live in an area of typical flooding, you may still see some.

Winds will be gusty. Not as high as they were with that last storm, but still could be a HUGE problem. When the ground is still saturated, trees are weak.

Showers will start this evening. Expect the heaviest of rain Monday and Tuesday. Plan your commutes accordingly. You know what roads flood first.

you know, you're one of those people that post where I either get prepared to cringe or smile --

and I mean that in a good way, and only when it comes to weather.

We STILL don't have a roof on our house from the last storm - just the LOVELY blue tarp over the whole thing

Oh crap., we finally got the basement cleaned up completely from the LAST monsoon. Whatever happened to normal rainfall?

I'm ready to fill the whole thing in with cement if we get flooding again-only problem is we have our furnace down there.

OOOh how I LOVE bringing DS to school in the pouring rain! Actually its ok with him, its wheeling DD in and out of the building to and from the parking lot!

No!!! Our basement *just* stopped flooding yesterday. It's going to happen all over again, isn't it?

I'm considering turning it into an indoor swimming pool down there!

Ugh...this isn't the time of year for the story about the ark, it's the time of year for the PARTING of the sea!

Not looking forward to the drive to SI tomorrow for the seder...and back to LI on Tuesday for the 2nd one. I really wish DH was driving with me instead of working and coming home early for each night.

Oh, it's going to be a lovely drive from NJ to my father for Passover on Tuesday afternoon. A normally 2 hour drive without traffic and bad weather... all with a tempermental 14 month old.

Fun times....

Just sucky! My DS is still in school this week, until Wednesday.... I hate having to juggle trips and such in that type of rain. I wish he had this week of instead of next! And I already packed away my winter rain boots. Better get them out again!

Wowza-I agree with the parting of the red sea! I am in S. Florida-Boca Raton and we have a Tornado watch and I believe a Severe T-Storm warning. The thunder woke DD and my yard is flooded. I hope it stops before seders start! Be safe everyone-I know NY was pounded recently!

My DD has been down on LI visiting with my parents (I live in Putnam) and I am trying to decide if I should get her today (which was the plan) or wait till tomorrow. Knowing she will be in the car with me makes me very nervous.
