My favorite burgers are Peter Lugers (only served at lunch though) and a place called Barefoot Peddler on Glen Cove Rd. Still looking for another great place since these 2 don't work much for me based on where I live.

Bobby's Burger Palace!!!!
ETA: Bobby's is hands down the best, but I also agree that Donovan's and the Barefoot Peddler both have great burgers.

Burger and Shake -- Bobby Flay's
Burger and soup - Grumpy Jack's in Pt Jeff's. They have an amazing moon burger w/ mushrooms and its marinated. That with the seafood chowder and I'm a happy person.
BTW - Dam you...now I want a burger!

I like my own burgers better than anyone elses. I mix my ground beef with a little softened butter, pepper, salt, onion, garlic powder and a bit of Peter Luger Sauce (thank you OPHELIA). I cook them on my cast iron skillet and top with sauteed onion, A-1 sauce and American cheese. I serve on a toasted sesame seed bun (Marty's Big Rolls) and it's HEAVEN.
But.. if I'm going out.. I dig either 5 Guys (with onion, pickle, cheese and A-1), Bobby's Burger Palace (with goat cheese and watercress) or 5 Points Cafe (with American, pickle and ketchup).

I only like my own. Ground beef, soy sauce, worcester sauce, garlic powder and a touch of bread crumbs. Old bay if I'm feeling crazy!
Red onion and ketchup and of course pickles!

Lugers burger! hands down best burgers ever!!
We even order them to make for BBQs we have in the summer!
I also happen to love houston's burgers as well.
But def not as much as I love Peter Lugers.
