Which baby monitor are you getting? Movement sensor unnecessary?
Which baby monitor are you getting?
I think I would like one that has a camera and perhaps we could see via internet if we wanted.
DH has all the safety researching duty and he picked out the HiSense BabySense Infant Movement Monitor. It basically makes sure the baby is breathing/moving and has an alarm if the baby stops breathing/moving.
I thought this was excessive. I would prefer not to be woken up in the middle of the night by false alarms. DH feels strongly about getting this. I feel he is a bit biased because he works at the hospital and always sees the worst case scenarios that come through the emergency room.

I have this monitor. Sometimes it does go off in the middle of the night and it is very scary, however, better safe than sorry.

i got the angelcare motion monitor and then returned it because i knew it would make me neurotic.
instead, i got the summer handheld video monitor and i LOVE it. best thing ever. the video pic is small but SO clear and portable throughout the entire house and outside.

Re: Which baby monitor are you getting? Movement sensor unnecessary?
I have the angelcare monitor and we have NEVER had a false alarm.. DS is now almost 6 months old and moves all over the crib, still no false alarms. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to sleep without it. I can get some rest knowing that just incase DS should stop breathing the alarm would wake me. A video monitor doesn't do that. it gives me peace of mind.

We have the audio one by Fisher Price. We love it! I had originally registered for the Summer Video one, but decided to be simple and just get the regular audio.

I had both the angelcare monitor and the Summer Handheld video monitor.
They both do very different things. I used the angelcare for the first 4 months or so - until DS started squirming all over the bed.
Once DS was in his crib in his room we had the video monitor - to me - that has been the best thing we have ever received. he is now 17 months and I use this for every nap - and every single night he goes to bed. I know when he is fake crying - or when he really needs to be picked up. I can see his every move. This is by far definately a must have and you will use it for a very long time.

I had both the angelcare monitor and the Summer Handheld video monitor.
Both of these is what I registered for and got as well. I know I'm going to be up every 15 mins making sure my little one is still breathing, so the angel care kinda does the work for me.
