Which bath tub for baby?
I received a tub for my shower, but didn't realize how HUGE it was. I also received the Puj Tub, but have heard some mixed reviews about it. I just discovered the Summer Infant Baby Bather, which looks good, too. Which one would you go with... the Summer Infant Baby Bather or the Puj Tub? Also, is there a bath SEAT that you can get for when baby is able to sit in the regular tub? Why can't I find this?
Picture #1 is the Summer Infant Baby Bather.

Re: Which bath tub for baby?
This is what we did and so take it for what it's worth.....
From the 1st full body bath we used the Whale bathtub, at 10 months we used the blow up duckie bathtub from Target, and at 14 months she started being in the real bathtub. It all worked great for us. For this baby, I will get a sling of some sort for thenewborn phase. It was a huge pain washing a nb in the whale. I don't like the 2nd because it seems like the baby would be exposed to the air long enough to get cold, and I don't like the 1st because as a nb you would be in the same situation as the whale. There is a ring, but you have to buy it online, and honestly, the duckie tub worked great for when she was really sitting up well and starting to wiggle/slide around.

Re: Which bath tub for baby?
I really dont like either because I feel like you wont be using them for very long and it would be such a waste of money. This is the tub we used which comes with a sling for the newborn phase. DS grew out of the sling by 10 weeks so I was glad I didnt waste my money on a smaller tub then a bigger tub. Also keep in mind you will be sponge bathing your DC until the belly button cord fallls off too so how long would you realy use the other two options, KWIM?
The first one like a previous post said the baby would be exposed to the air and get cold really quick. If I had to choose between the two, I would go with the second but I really do not like either, JMHO.

Re: Which bath tub for baby?
My friend who has the Puj Tub completely swears by it. She has to retire it now that her DS is 6 months, but she's used it up to now. She absolutely loves it.
They don't sell the seats anymore because of the ridiculous numbers of stupid parents who left their children alone in the bath seats and the babies drowned. So they recalled them. I think there's one or two out there on the market still but they're recommended against.
I have a small plastic tub with (I think it's First Years brand -- we got it from a friend, used) a plug drain in the bottom that we use on the counter in the bathroom for DD. When she was a newborn, we had a very simple sling in it. I recently bought a sling for a friend at wal mart for $7. Once she can sit up herself, I plan to use an inflatable tub inside the regular bath tub, or maybe just go straight into the big bath. We'll see.

I know you returned the huge tub but for what it's actually worth the room. I just leave it in the tub when we're done with it.
We have the Primo bathtub and it's wonderful. I don't have to hold him while bathing him and it has two sides to wash him. Babies are slippery, like catching a fish with your hands. This makes it a lot more simple.

Re: Which bath tub for baby?
I dont have the space or patients for a baby tub. I registered and received this
Its a lot like the Puj just much cheaper. I have no idea how well it works but my hopes are high.

As a BTDT mom I second the Primo Eurobath. Yes it is big but it is FANTASTIC. I had the cute fisher price one posted above with the sling before that and it was a complete waste. The bump in the middle annoyed my DS back.

Same here. I was shocked at how big it was when I first got it but it was great. I used it up until DS was 14 months and only stopped because he kept trying to climb out of it.

I had something similar to this and never ended up using the sling. When he was super small we bathed him in the wash up tub we got from the hospital in the kitchen sink.

That's the one I have that I was going to return! Okay... I think I'll keep it after reading how much you all love it. . It's huge! lol.
I'm assuming you keep the tub in your big tub while you bathe the baby in this? It's not exactly countertop size!
I think I'm also going to keep the Puj tub and see what works better.
Thanks, ladies!
