so with DS crawling now (he's not even 7 months!) he's starting to stand up in his infant tub.

i think i will have to take him out of it soon so i bought the aquababy bath ring. anyone have it? is it worth it?

I used the Safety 1st Tubside Bath Seat
with my girls starting at 4 months old. My girls were pulling up by 6 1/2 months and I never had a problem with them in the tub when I used this seat.

i was debating it, but I decided against it....

I just bought her the elmo bath mat, and put her right in the tub.... She LOVES it! Chat Icon

I put dd in the regular tub with a non-slip mat at 6 months, much easier than those tub seats, imho Chat Icon

I bought this when DS turned just about 7 months for the same reason. he was trying to stand up in his infant tub.

I have to say I don't love it.

It is impossible to get their privates because they are sitting straight up and there is no room to manuever your hands under the tush.

DS can't really play with his bath toys because he can't reach down far enough past the top ring part.

He wriggles in it and gets very awkwardly positioned.

I feel like there is not enough water covering DS to keep him warm.

I'm getting one of those big inflatable tubs that you put in your regular bathtub and I'm going to see how that works out.

What do the bath mats look like? My main concern is DS trying to pull himself up or roll over in the tub . . .

We used one from about 7 or 8 months until 18 months. And she is a squirmer. She stayed put in there and it gave me a lot of peace of mind.

thanks for the replies!

silly questions--but i assume you need to blow up the blow up tub every day? isn't that a pain?

the only thing i worry about is that even though he's starting to crawl and is mobile, he still falls over when he sits once in a while. of course we'd be watching him, but i was thinking that the bath ring would "catch" him, whereas if there's nothing, he would fall in the water if we're not fast enough.

I have this and love it. I just prop her to stand and hold her over my arm at the end of the bath to get to the privates.

Bath time used to be the worst for me until I got the bath seat.

We just started putting DS in the big bathtub. He is really stable at sitting up, and loves being "free".

We have the same bath ring you posted and it is perfect for that. I still use it even though he knows how to get out of it now. It's not that bad to lift him out just to clean any areas that you can't reach while he is in the seat. I wash his hair, face and upper body when he is in the seat and he can play when he is in it. I find that the easiest way to bathe him is to get in the bath with him but that part is optional!

I am prob in a minority, but when Johnny outgrew things we didnt really ever replace them with stuff. We just got a good bath mat so he couldn't slide around and its been great this whole time. He sits and plays with the bathtoys and we have no problems. But that bath ring looks fun! Let me know how you like it!
