Which big boy bedding?
I'm ordering Ryan this furniture:
Catalina from PB Kids in espresso (dresser, bed & nightstand)
And debating between these 2 bedding sets. I want something he won't outgrow too quickly which is why it's pretty basic:
Option 1:
Option 2:
Both from Overstock
FYI, the boat bed I was considering is like 10 ft long - it'll look ridiculous in his room!

Re: Which big boy bedding?
My DS's nursery is nautical(PB Chase) and I think I'm gonna order the first set for his room now so I have it(even though he just turned 1). Love the bed!

We're not setting up the bed for Ryan yet - I'm not sure he's ready, but I want to order the bedding now since you never know with Overstock.

Re: Which big boy bedding?
I like #1. However, I voted "keep looking" just because I like something a little bit more "little-kid-ish," KWIM? My DD's is flowers, ladybugs, etc. and I like the fact that's a bit more whimsical, but definitely something that will grow with her. But I guess that theme's not really appropriate in your situation.
Love the bed!!!

Re: Which big boy bedding?
I love that furniture. If the bed didn't have the same look as our MB furnture I would get it for E in white.
I like #2 with the horizontal stripes better. I have a comforter with vertical stripes in my guest room and sometimes I don't like how they look.
When will your construction be over? Any pics?

I agree I would go with something younger just because I feel they are only young for so long I would pick something with a more kid feel.

See I don't care for kiddie bedding at all. I think you can throw a big brown teddy bear on the bed and it will look adorable. Frogs, bugs, fire trucks--not my thing

Re: Which big boy bedding?
If it's a twin I'd get the vertical stripes, if it's a full I'd get the horizontal stripes.
Love the furniture!

Re: Which big boy bedding?
I agree, you dont have to get "young kiddie" bedding. I did not for my DS and its definitely doesnt have the look of a toddler room, but it is a young boys room. I can get SOOOOO many more years out of it, honestly, until he is 18 or so with just some change of accessories. I say go with the more classic bedding as opposed to kiddie.
DS is two and he still LOVES his room, even though it isnt "little boy".
LOVE #1.

Not much of a price difference - like $20.
The one I really love is PB but it's double the price and I'm really not looking to spend that.
