Which breastfeeding pillow do you use? Boppy or Brest Friend Pillow?
I currently have the boppy. I think it is fine for the front hold to breastfeed but not so great for the "football" hold.
I was thinking of buying the brest friend pillow. It looks like it would give better support.

I loved the my brest friend...I highly recommend it. It was so much more comfortable and supportive.

I use the boppy.. used for my first baby too.. and only able to do the football hold.. Its the easiest for me. It does get difficult when as they grow.. I added another pillow by feet when the baby got long enough that feet hang off.

I used the Boppy and did the football hold when I was BF. As Athan got older and LONGER, though, I did have to use an additional pillow because he was hanging off the Boppy. I have never used/tried the Brest Friend so I really don't know if that would be better

None, a regular pillow was fine with me. I don't see a point in spending the extra money. JMO.

I still use my boppy for my nighttime nurse. It just helps elevate her and make both of us more comfortable.

I want to 1,000,000% recommend the Brest Friend pillow.
I don't know if you remember me from the PG board, but I had a ruptured disc throughout my pregnancy. I thought it would get better after I delivered, and it didn't. I tried to breastfeed using my boppy, and wound up bedridden for days. When I asked my LC about it, she told me it was because I was having to slouch over in order to reach DD.
Bottom line...I would not be BF at all if it hadn't been for the Brest Friend pillow. I CAN'T say enough good things about this pillow. It's literally hands-free, and it holds the baby's entire weight for you and evenly distributes the pressure in your back.
I love mine so much that when we recently went to NY, I had my mom bring it up with her (she drove, we flew) and then paid an exorbitant amount of money to have it flown back Overnight Air so that I'd have it the next day.
Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been experiencing back pain for the first time in my life and I know it is from hunching over to breastfeed. I was thinking of picking up the brest friend pillow but didn't want to buy it if it was going to be the same thing as the boppy. Now I will just go pick up the best friend pillow.

I have both. In the beginning, the my brest friend was really really great. The boppy, not so much. Once we got the hang of it, though, anything works. Now I mostly use the my brest friend or a regular pillow (or 2). I sometimes use the boppy, but not too often.

I just picked up the brest friend pillow and I absolutely love it! It gives me much better support than the boppy. My arms don't feel nearly as strained. I highly recommend the brest friend pillow over the boppy.

I know that all the pics show the woman sitting with the pillow down low, around her stomach. For me, what works the best is to hike it all the way up on my upper waist, so that my breasts are literally sitting on top of it. My LC showed me how to use it this way and it's absolutely the best!

I don't use one, I just support DD on my legs. I have the boppy and hates it.. it never fits right and the shape is getting flat.

I used the boppy for cradle hold.
I only used football hold in the beginning, and for that I proped him on a pillow that was folded in half.
