Which Disney resort is better??

i have a 6yr old and 4 yr old. We stayed at the Wilderness lodge last summer and i want to switch it up this year. But i am torn between the Polynesian or the Contemporary. Which one is better?

I vote for the Polynesian - I think the theme is more attune to disney standards - the Contemporary is a bit stale. They are both on the monorail and the advantage of the poly is you can walk to the TTC and hop on the epcot monorail rather than having to take 2 if you want to go to EPCOT.

We stayed in a garden room at the poly in September and loved it. They have a fabulous pool - that the kids all love - with a zero entry - and a view of the castle - the water slide thru the volcano was really popular with all the kids. There are several restaurants on property and if you need it there is the neverland club which is a babysitting place where the kids play while the parents go out to dinner if you need that service one night (I think it is for kids 3 and up and it is supposed to be fun for the kids).

If you get a 1st or 3rd floor room you will have a patio or balcony. Most 2nd floor rooms only have fake balconies at the poly.

I have a friend who stayed at the contemporary in August/Sept who has three kids - they had a garden room and didn't realize there are no balconies (only the tower rooms have them) and she said her 5 year old and 2 1/2 year old were disappointed b.c they thought it wasn't very disney - the only thing they liked was that the monorail went thru the hotel and that chef mickey's is at the contemporary. She visited the poly and regretted not staying there.

I vote for the Polynesian.....cause that's the one I would want to go to!

We visited a ton this time around because we decided next time we will not be staying in a Value.

We liked the Polynesian better but the price was a bit more for when we want to go again then the Contemporary so we chose the Contemporary.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I love the Poly!!!!! I think they are still doing construction at the Contemporary... not that it would bother you but I'm sure someone will hear some machines somewhere

I LOVE the Contemporary but I think that they Poly would have more neat stuff for kids to look at. The Contemporary is kinda plain. They are still working on it too.
