We didn't stay there-- but at the Beach Club Resort which is also in the Epcot area. The boardwalk is right there-- and it's great to walk around when you are not at the parks. I also liked being close to just walk into Epcot-- for more walking around, etc.

I have stayed at the Swan twice. It is not as "disney" as other hotels because it is more of a corporate type hotel. However, with that said, the rooms are a nice size, beds are great and the pool area is really nice too! You cannot beat the LOCATION!!! You can walk into epcot or MGM from the swan, plus you can walk to the boardwalk area and visit all the other nice hotels. The boats are quick and easy to use for transportation too. We have stayed there with the teacher discount twice, great deal for the money! Enjoy!

thanks ladies, I heard it is not as disney themed as the Diseny resorts, luckily my kids don't care and we will spend a limited amount of time at the hotel. We are so excited It also helps that my parents are coming too, so we have extra hans to help us with the kids

we stayed at the dolphin (which is the swan's twin) in oct for our honeymoon and it was incredible. it is huge and there are a lot of corporate parties... but still i thought it was a gorgeous hotel. our room/view was AMAZING (we had 2 balconies and saw the fireworks perfectly from our window every night) and the food at all the restaurants was awesome.

Re: The swan resort, Walt Disney World, ever been there?
technically, its not a Disney hotel. which could be why its not as disney themed. the swan and dolphin are independently owned and they pay to be on disney property.
