Which fields are the least crowded at Jones beach?
I rarely go to Jones but I think we are going this weekend.
Which friends are the least crowded & is there a reason why?

I haven't been there in awhile either, but I would think the further you get from the main area, headed East, will be the least crowded.
I also think the Suffolk beaches are less crowded.

field 2 is normally pretty good... stay away from field 4 & 6.... unless you like loud obnoxious teens and blaring mariachi music!
the west end fields (especially WE 2) is a LOOONNGGGG walk to the water!
most of the time DW and I prefer Robert Moses or Long Beach....

Thanks, will check out 2. No, I especially hate going to the beach with loud kids & music. We do usually go to long beach but the people were are going with prefer Jones & they want to go there instead. I wish I could use my parents pass, they are in the town of oyster bay. The beaches are probably really nice & quiet over there.

Point Lookout is really nice too!
The only nice part about Jones Beach is you pay per CAR instead of per PERSON!

If you take the Meadowbrook to the Loop Parkway all the way to the end you would make a left at the light. If you were to go to Long Beach you would make a right at the light.
