Although I shop mostly at Shoprite these days (cheaper) - I think Stop and Shop has better produce.
Shoprite is just okay.. really hit or miss IMO.
Best Yet is almost always ripe.. but seems to go bad very quickly.
I never have great luck at Pathmark and Waldbaum's.. I find a lot of rotting stuff.
I can't wait for the Farmer's Market to open up again!!

IMO Stop & Shop.
Pathmark usually goes bad quickly and Best Yet barely lasted a day.

In my area Bayside, Fairway Douglaston has the best produce, good prices too.
Waldbaum's in Bay Terrace is not too bad, just not that great either. I never buy produce at Key Food, it always looks old and I don't like that it is prepackaged.

I think I have been to every supermarket and I have to say Fairway had the best quality, a little bit pricey though.

I've had the best luck at Stop & Shop. Even there it's not perfect-- I've had a few peppers that were moldy when I cut them open, etc. But overall it's the best quality for the price.
In a perfect world I'd buy all my produce at Whole Foods. But then I'd have no money for anything else

Really? This is where I was shopping since the prices are so good but I wasmnoticing the stuff went bad very quickly.

If you live near great neck, shop delight has the best produce for great prices...its actually a kosher supermarket but most of the people who I know that shop there arent kosher at all or even jewish, they just have the best prices around

In Rockland we have a place called Decicco's which always has the best produce (not sure if they have on on LI). Aside from that, Stop n Shop always seems to have good produce.
I do most of my shopping at Shoprite because their prices are better, but their produce is always rotting or goes bad within a few days.

I really like the produce from Fresh Direct. I also like Whole Foods too. Neither of those are cheap though!

I tend to get most of my produce from stop and shop. I've found that Costco has very good quality produce for a good price but DH and I usually can't finish their giant packages of fruit or veggies befor it starts to go bad.

Even though I do all my shopping at ShopRite, I think Uncle Giuseppe's has by far the greatest and freshest produce!
They're a little pricey but the produce is always fresh and delicious looking and I always come home with more than what I went in for
