I can't say since which is better since I've never been to the one in the Bronx, but the Bklyn one is very very nice. Definitely worth a visit.

Better for what? Both are beautiful, in terms of gardens. If you are talking about events, I like NY Botanical Garden better (I might be biased b/c I got married there, although we did look at both and preferred NYBG).

I've been to brooklyn BG and loved it; we ate in the park with all the cherry blossoms, it was great. I just wasn't sure if NYBG was as pretty and as much to do, but it sounds like there is. thanks for your response!

I prefer the NYBG. There is much more variety, it's easier to get to, easier to park. It's 250 acres as opposed to 52 acres at the BBG. There are trams so you don't have to hoof it everywhere.

Each year, the BBG has the Sakura Matsuri (sp?) which is the cherry blossom festival. If you go on a weekend, it will be mobbed!

If you go to the NYBG website, there is a map and pictures of what you can see there. My photos of the NYBG. I used to be a member there and went at least three times a year. I miss it. Chat Icon
