Which toddler car seat do you take on planes?
We are looking to buy a convertible car seat. Would like one that we can also use on a plane.
I liked the Britax Marathon but it seemed much wider than the others.

we bought a costco scenera strictly for travel. We have britax advocates in both of our cars, and they were way too huge to travel with. The scenera has excellent ratings, and is only $45 at walmart.. It now lives in grandma's car

We have a Marathon and a Boulevard. I decided to take the Marathon on the plane because I think it's a tad smaller. It fit just fine, the only issue we had was that DS kept kicking the seat in front of him because he was very close to it.

I can't recommend the Scenera enough. It weighs like 10 pounds and is so easy to install. We have one in DH's car and a second one that goes back and forth between my sitter and my DS's car. And she's just as comfortable as she is in the Boulevard.

I only have a Britax Marathon so that is what we take on the plane and have never had a problem. We travel quite frequently with the car seat too...

We have a Britax Boulevard, but bought the Cosco Scenera for travel and as a backup seat. The Scenera was $40 at Walmart and DS seemed to be just as comfortable in that seat when we were on vacation in Disney as he is in his Boulevard. It's a lot LESS cushy, but it's rated just as safe. And it's MUCH lighter to carry around (airports, rental cars, etc).

We've taken our Britax Marathon and Cosco Scenera. Both were fine but the Scenera was def easier b/c it's sooo much lighter.

Re: Which toddler car seat do you take on planes?
All seats sold in the US are rated the same in terms of safety. It's PASS/FAIL. Obviously, fails don't make it to the shelves.
Scenera or Evenflo Tribute are both great, inexpensive travel seats. They make wheels you can put on the Britax seats too.
If the seat is FAA approved, then it can be used on the plane.

We traveled with a Britax Roundabout 55 and had no problems. We also have an Advocate CS but felt that was too big for the narraw plane seat.

We have one for DH's car and it's the one we take when we travel with one because it's so lightweight.

we've taken the britax boulevard and marathon on planes and it's totally fine.
We use the GoGo Travel Mate thing to roll Logan around in the car seat while in the airport which makes it even easier
