My boys when they were younger loved Wii. Now my 5th grader plays on Playstation a lot and mainly Fortnite, but there are a lot of other good games he used to play. LOL
My 8 year old isn't that into video games, but did like Wii before my 10 yr old took over fortnite with his friends.

Which video console is best for elementary aged kids
my 3rd grader and kindergartener both like the switch! its nice because you can take it with you places, too- so if we're going on a long road trip they'll bring it- they can play games together or an individual game by themselves... its really nice and flexible. and some fun games for it, too that aren't too "dark"-- Mario Party, Mario Kart, Lets Go Pikachu...

We are happy with the Nintendo consoles. Wii/WiiU/Switch. Our kids all love them- ages 10, 7 and 3.

Which video console is best for elementary aged kids
We have a Switch and an XBox - my 10 year old mainly plays the XBox and my 8 year old plays the switch more (he's a Minecraft/Roblox/Fortnite guy while my older son likes the sports games too).
It is very difficult now to find a regular Nintendo Switch - I guess people have been buying them since we are stuck inside.
