Which would you rather go to..Foxwoods or Atlantic City?
DH and I would like to go away for our anniversary and aren't able to go anywhere tropical, so we figured somewhere closer. We are trying to decide between Foxwoods and Atlantic City. I've been to AC, but haven't been to Foxwoods. DH has never been to either....which would you say is better for a weekend get away?

Atlantic City. More options with casinos and also some good shopping now. The Tropicana has great shopping and restaurants now, and the outlets aren't bad either. I think there is just more to do there.

If you are going to AC, must go to Borgata. VERY UPSCALE AND NICE!!! Like Vegas.
I have been to both Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. Foxwoods had more nightlife. Mohegan Sun had less.
I liked them both. But go to Borgata b/c we get comp rooms and we love it! The rest of AC does not appeal to us anymore after staying at the Borgata. Many hotels are very skeezy on the strip and so are MANY of the people.
So either go to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun or the Borgata at A/C.

I've heard that the rooms at Foxwoods & Mohegan Sun are more expensive.

Yes, it's a couple exits further. We like it better than foxwoods.

Foxwoods over AC
BUT Mohegan Sun over both!
I went to AC for the first time recently and I have to say I was disappointed/grossed out by it (although we didnt go to the Borgata )

I too agree. There are more options in AC. In Foxwoods there is no way of escaping the casino. No shopping, no variety of restaurants.. unless this has changed since I have been there but.. I would pick the Trop in AC..

Go to A/C...stay at the Borgata...once you join the club and spend some money you should get some free room offers for next time.
